If you are lucky enough to have tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll this year, don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. State officials, federal employees, and airport managers and not the only ones who are hoppin’ mad about the impact of sequestration.
Word came from the White House on Monday that budget uncertainties could impact the annual Easter Egg Roll for kids, which is scheduled to take place April 1st. The White House has faced criticism that tours of the executive mansion have been cancelled due to cuts to the Secret Service budget, while they have continued to publicize the Easter Egg Roll. A statement from the White House late on Monday read, "Because we distribute tickets to the Easter Egg Roll far in advance, we alerted all ticket holders that this event is subject to cancellation due to funding uncertainty, including the possibility of a government shutdown. However, we are currently proceeding as planned with the Easter Egg Roll."
